Our Mission

The Birdhouse Neighborhood Center builds community and equity in the Fourth & Gill Neighborhood and beyond. The Center provides a unique historic space for diverse educational, artistic, and social gatherings.​

Approved by the Fourth & Gill Neighborhood Center Committee on January 18, 2023.

Our Goals

  1. Increase community engagement

  2. Provide programming that is multicultural and diverse in performers and attendees

  3. Become financially sustainable

  4. Create necessary organizational infrastructure

  5. Expand social justice outreach

Birdhouse Neighborhood Center Structure

The Birdhouse Neighborhood Center is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who share their time and resources to keep the Birdhouse running on a day-to-day and long-term basis.

The Birdhouse Neighborhood Center Committee is an official group within the Fourth & Gill Neighborhood Organization. Within the committee are four subcommittees. The Birdhouse also recognizes dozens of other volunteers in the neighborhood and beyond.
